Misha Mayeur

Misha Mayeur is a multifaceted artist and community advocate from and based in New Orleans, Louisiana. As a Director of Habitat Recovery Project, she co-leads partnerships, outreach, organization, and execution of projects based on environmental education, activism, and communal advocacy. 

Misha is the writer, producer, and host of the Gulf Rising podcast, which highlights the narratives of complex industrial negligence and the heroism of Gulf Coast communities.

Misha comes from a background in the arts, with a history of interactive installation, event production, performance art coordination, and visual arts teaching. Her work has a steady undercurrent of social media and graphic design, seeing her creations through to full manifestation. 

Through Earth Rise Collective, Misha helps to organize workshops on bioconstruction, where participants learn about Indigenous building practices using sustainable materials like clay, Spanish moss, and upcycled resources. These workshops aim to empower communities with the skills and knowledge to rebuild and restore their environments. She helps to shape identity, forge meaningful partnerships, and document workshop experiences.
